Begin tour in Capital City San Jose on April 10, 2007, beginning with the hotel Marriott Courtyard, Gold Museum, National Theater and first part of drive to Sarapiqui Falls (click a couple of times on arrow to start video):
Sarapiqui Falls, followed by stop at a coffee plantation, where we learned that most of Starbuck's arabica coffee bean purchases are from Costa Rica, then on to hotel and grounds next to Trimina Tropical Rain Forrest with nature walks and gardens, another nature walk and grounds comprising the remote and very rustic hotel followed by school and home visit in Chachaqua:
Visit to organic farm, completely self sustaining in terms of fruits and coffee, including tasting 150 proof grain alcohol, nature walk and boat ride on Rio Frio near Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, and views of Vernal Volcano and hotel grounds :
Sunset spent listening to Holler Monkeys in rustic hideaway lodge and horse ranch in and horseback ride to Rincon de la Vieja thermal area, then getting ready for mud baths, followed by sauna heated by hot springs, then soaking in four thermal hot spring pools of varying temperatures. Also, interspersed are pictures taken of the group members who enjoyed the 9 station Zip Line high in the rain forrest on the western side of Costa Rica:
